Steel core cables are proven to have longer wear, and maintain their shape better than fiber core cables. Steel Core Cables are about 10% Stronger than a Fiber Core cables. Athough they are stronger, they do have their Pro's & Con's. Steel Core Cables lose their strength drastically, when kinked or bent. A Fiber Core Cable is more Flexible and can be, kinked or bent w/o losing it's strength. A Fiber Core cable comes O.E.M. on Miller & Jerr-Dan equipment.
