(STEEL CORE) Steel Core Cables are about 10% Stronger than a Fiber Core cables. Although they are stronger, they do have their Pro's & Con's. Steel Core Cables lose their strength drastically, when kinked or bent. A Fiber Core Cable is more Flexible and can be, kinked or bent w/o losing it's strength. A Fiber Core cable is what comes O.E.M. on Miller & Jerr-Dan equipment.
